Our Commitments

We are committed to operating Waterloo Wind Farm in a safe and responsible manner.

Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) charter outlines our commitment to sustainability and reflects our responsibilities to employees, shareholders, stakeholders and the communities in which we operate.

Environment

We are committed to excellence in environmental management and operate Waterloo Wind Farm in strict compliance with the guidelines set by the South Australian Environment Protection Authority (EPA). We regularly conduct a range of environmental management activities to control any impacts and make sure the surrounding environment is protected. These activities include erosion prevention, weed and pest control, bird monitoring, remnant vegetation protection and the protection of on-site water sources.

The wind farm is also operated in compliance with the South Australian EPA noise guidelines.
These regulations limit noise to very low levels and are designed to ensure wind farm operations don’t unduly add to the existing rural soundscape or cause excessive annoyance. While still audible, noise from the wind farm is sufficiently low that our sound output is often indistinguishable from other noises in the environment, like the wind or rain. We do, however, understand noise may cause annoyance or concern. When this occurs, we work with people to investigate and try to resolve the basis for their complaint.

Safety

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all. We aim to continually improve our working practices and achieve our goal of zero reportable incidents each year.

Corporate Governance

Corporate Governance plays a key role in our business operations and decision making. We are committed to achieving excellence in ESG outcomes with a focus on:

  •  Good governance
  • Climate action
  • Supporting communities
  • Fostering diversity
  • Environmental sustainability
